
Frozen Pizza Sold at Walmart Being Recalled Due to Possible Salmonella
There's a new product recall being issued for frozen pizzas sold at Walmart.
Consumption of these frozen pizzas could lead to serious illness so this recall is urgent.
The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a product recall for two specific types of frozen pizza that's sold at Walmart and has been known to sell at other stores like Aldi as well.
We here in Yakima don't need to worry about Aldi, but if you shop at Walmart, this is something serious.

Frozen Pizza in Washington Recalled from Walmart
The issue with these frozen pizzas as they may be contaminated with salmonella as the dairy used to in these pizzas was recalled, itself.
They found this out when they were testing and found the recalled dry milk powder was the same they used for these pizzas.
Consumption of Salmonella can cause a variety of foodborne illnesses including diarrhea, cramps, fever and could be very dangerous for elderly, children, and those with weakened immune systems.

So far, no reports of illness has come through, yet, but don't be that statistic. If you have these frozen pizzas in your freezer, return them for a full refund, exchange them, or, in the interest of safety, just throw them out.
It's not worth the risk.
