Yakima Schools Foundation: Celebrating 35 Years Helping the Yakima School District

Full disclosure, I was once a member of the YSF board a few years ago. Any staff member working in a Yakima district school can apply for a grant from the nonprofit Foundation.

The grant applicant has to specify these three things:

  • What the money will be used for
  • How many children it will impact
  • How this grant will impact the students

It was my pleasure volunteering a couple of hours each month in this way, and I met some really cool people! If you're a person who wants to help support the kids in this way, I highly encourage you to turn in a board member application!
