‘Putt’ on Your Golfing Shoes: Yakima Parks & Rec’s Fisher Golf Course Now Open
The Spring season opened back in March at Yakima Parks and Recreation's public Fisher Golf Course. It's time to "putt" on your golfing shoes and come play.
Fisher Golf Course - First Come, First Served
The weather is finally nice enough to hit up the golf courses. We have several to choose from in the Yakima and nearby areas, from SunTides Golf Course in Selah and the Apple Tree Golf Course in West Valley, to the tech-savvy swings at Nine Iron Golf and the revamped Westwood Golf Course.
We also have a great public family-friendly course managed by Yakima Parks and Recreation: Fisher Golf Course. It's first come, first served there, so you don't have to book a tee time if you want to play.

How Much Does It Cost to Play at Fisher Golf Course?
Adults over 18 pay $14 during the weekdays and $17 on weekends. Kids and Seniors get a discount (see the website for details). They offer family passes and season passes, too.
Don't have your own clubs? You can rent them at the green for a small fee, and they offer golf carts for rental, too.
I'm more of a driving range kinda gal myself, but I still love playing at Fisher. Since I'm a wimp when it comes to chilly weather, I'm going to wait a couple more weeks until the temps start sticking to the 70-degrees and up weather before I hit up the golf course. Hope to run into you out there!
Fisher is a 3 par 9-hole golf course and is located at 823 S 40th Ave in Yakima. Open 8 a.m. until dusk. Visit the website to see Yakima Parks and Recreation's seasonal Program Guide of all available (and affordable!) spring and summer activities.
