East Valley High’s Instrument Donation Drive Begins in Yakima
You've seen them doing a great job in local parades: say HEY to the East Valley Booster Club!
Whether it's the percussionists you love hearing (and seeing) the most, or the brass band players, the East Valley Performing Arts know how to step their musical game up and get the crowd going for the East Valley Red Devils!
Marching band students at East Valley Central and East Valley High School are in need of some instruments. They can be used, they can be new; either way, they just need some!
My daughter used to be in her middle school band, and she played the clarinet. We rented her instrument from Taylor Music, but we wished that she had her own clarinet.
I wish her middle school had thought to have an instrument donation drive like the one East Valley is having--how cool would it be if each student could have their own (fill in the blank) for the school band?!
FUN FACT: Did you know if you donate an instrument, you can use it as a tax write-off? That's because the E.V. Booster Club is a non-profit.
The instrument donation drive starts Wednesday, November 20th and ends on December 20th. They are looking for gently used and old instruments.
