Yakima’s Fall Author Fair Was Hot in More Ways Than One

It was a hot time at The Author Fair & Market (Fall 2026), literally. It was extremely warm, especially for an October 4th!

Even though it was a warm one (reaching 81 degrees according to my weather app), that didn’t stop the Authors from setting up shop and the crafters and small businesses from doing what they do best: bringing their goods to the Yakima Valley! Check out the photos below.

Telling Stories, Meeting Fans, Making Friends

Several authors from all across the Pacific Northwest showed up at Encore Books (415 W Walnut St in Yakima) for the Author Fair & Market.

Such authors as:

• Ben Mayo

• Merla Manuel

To name a few. Encore Books made a cute and quick video of the different authors talking about their latest books and what their recommendation and favorite book is! You know, what they like to read when they’re not writing. Check that out!

Yakima Vendors Gonna Vend!

On the vendor market side of the Fall Author Fair and Market, there were goods like handmade jewelry, scrunchies, and press-on nails, glitter drinking jars, bookmarks, and tumblers, Christmas ornaments, body art, plants and succulents, and collectibles like Funkos, antique dolls and comic books. And no pop-up market would be complete without some tasty food and drinks!
