Does Yakima need a new flavor of Twinkies? Simply put... no.

But we got them, so I figured I'd try them!

Now, you might be saying, "Tim, Cherry flavored Twinkies aren't that new!", and you might be right, but I've never seen them with a "Slurpee Limited Edition" flavor!

So, to paraphrase Charles Manson from the Family Guy cut away, If I don't know about it, "it's new to me!"

Hostess Cherry Twinkies Taste Testing Legal Disclaimer

My friend Gloria (who has bought me many things to try) gave me this snack food, and I ate it and am reviewing it by my own free will.

This is not a paid advertisement for or against the little golden sponge cakes. I'm not being paid, nor do I expect to.

Taste Test of Hostess Cherry Twinkies

I really think that if this was the normal flavor of Twinkies, the cake snack wouldn't have played such a big part in the Zombieland film (NSFW)!

You know what Twinkies taste like, so you should have an idea of what these taste like.

The only difference is the cream filling. These are a cherry cream, although to me, they taste less like a cream and more of the jelly filling of standard jelly doughnuts.

2nd Opinion Taste Test of Hostess Cherry Twinkies

There is no 2nd opinion this time around because, let's face it, I enjoy Twinkies, and no one was around to enjoy it with me (the dog in the above picture doesn't count; he's biased and doesn't speak English).

I ate both Twinkies. They were good enough for me to eat both, but I think I'll stick to the original from now on.
