A press release from officials at Chukar Cherries in Prosser says in just a few short weeks, swelling buds will erupt into canopies of white cherry blossoms attracting visitors from all around the state. If you are looking to experience the beauty of blossoms officials at Chukar Cherries in Prosser say based on current Yakima Valley conditions, cherry blossoms are expected from April 10th - 25th, with a peak around April 15th, although they say the dates can change as the season progresses.

Have you ever thought about taking a cherry blossom tour in the Yakima valley? Here's your chance. If you tour the blossoms you'll be looking at Bing and Rainier cherry trees since they're the popular varieties grown in the Valley.

When are cherries harvested in the valley? The harvest usually happens from mid-June into late July.
If you take a blossom tour you need to make a stop at Chukar’s Prosser headquarters where you can sample 18 different varieties of chocolate covered cherries, nuts and berries. The Prosser store is located at 320 Wine Country Road in Prosser open Monday-Saturday 8:00 am-5:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am-4:00 pm.
