Yakima Health District officials say the Yakima Pilot Community Vaccination Center at State Fair Park will remain open for the next 8 weeks after opening March 31. So far the fixed site at State Fair Park, at 1300 South Fair Avenue has administered vaccine to 5,800 people. Hoping to see more people vaccinated the center has changed its hours of operation now open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Daily Monday through Sunday. It's a drive through site and it requires an appointment.
If you have a vehicle you are encouraged to use the Gate 15 entrance off Pacific Avenue. Not everyone has a vehicle however so if you don't have one but still want a vaccine at the park you have a walk-up option. A press release says individuals without access to transportation may call 2-1-1 to schedule a free ride to the Community Vaccination Center. Passengers will be dropped off at the walk-up entrance. "Health officials say on-site registration is now available. However if you want the vaccine you are encouraged to register for an appointment on Prep-Modor call 1-800-525-0127, press 7 for Spanish.
Eligibility is not affected by insurance coverage or immigration status.
Andre Fresco, Executive Director, Yakima Health District says “This  Community  Vaccination  Centeris  another  accessible  and  easy  option  for  people  in  our community. The sooner we get our community vaccinated, the sooner we can move forward. The Pilot Community Vaccination Center builds on our ongoing efforts to ensure that all eligible individuals wanting a vaccine have access to one -and it helps  us to build immunity for our community.”

The pilot CVC is a partnership between Yakima Health District, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Washington’s Department of Health and Emergency Management Division, and Yakima Valley Office of Emergency Management."
