Horse Virus Cancels High School Rodeo Finals
Concerns about a deadly horse virus means the Washington State High School Rodeo Association is delaying its State finals. Delaying the event from this weekend in Ellensburg to next month is reportedly being called a precautionary measure. It’s because of the worries centered around the outbreak of EHV-1. While it can be deadly for horses, it’s not transmittable to people. The outbreak was traced to an event in Ogden, Utah last month. It’s since spread to nine states including Washington, Oregon, and Calfornia.
