Calling all parents and others who take care of kids. Starting this month, the Yakima Valley Museum is offering special educational programs designed for homeschool students and families. In partnership with the Lupine Society, the programs aim to provide engaging lessons in social studies for students in 3rd through 8th grade.

CLASSES HELD EVERY MONTH

According to a news release museum officials say the programs will be held every month on the 2nd Wednesday, featuring hands-on activities, exhibits, and readings to enhance learning outside of the classroom.

PLENTY OF RESOURCES FOR REFERENCE

Each session includes a guide to museum exhibits and additional resources for further exploration, making the educational experience both fun and informative.
The cost is $10 per student, with lessons developed and taught by experienced educators, all aligned with Washington State Standards.

HOW ABOUT STORY TIME?

In addition, story time returns to the museum on January 28th and will continue every 4th Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. The program is included with museum admission, and members can enjoy it for free.
