WSDOT TRAFFIC ADVISORY -- US 97 will be completely closed to through traffic from Goldendale to Toppenish on Wednesday night and Thursday night from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next day.

The nighttime closures are required for a crane to set retaining wall panels adjacent to the highway near the Satus Creek Bridge. The retaining wall, when finished, will be 2,200 feet in length.

Local traffic will be able to access US 97 northbound from Goldendale to milepost 44 and southbound from Toppenish to milepost 47.

Electronic message boards will display closure times. Signs are at these key locations:

• US 97 at Goldendale

• US 97/SR14 intersection

• SR 14/SR 142 intersection

• US 97/SR 22 near Toppenish

• US 97/Larue Road intersection

There is no detour through this area. Drivers should seek alternate routes on SR 14, I-82, US 12 or I-90.
