Yakima Transit and Union Gap Transit will both offer free bus service to the fairgrounds next Wednesday.

Yakima Transit will be providing free shuttle service during the 4th of July Celebration at
State Fair Park.
Buses will pick up and drop of passengers from 3:30 pm until 11:30 pm from parking lots at
both the Gateway Center and Eisenhower High School.
At the Gateway Center, buses will load passengers near Office Max. At Eisenhower, buses
will stop near the school’s south parking lot located adjacent to Arlington Avenue.
The 4th of July Celebration begins at noon at State Fair Park.  Admission to the event, which
was first held in 1991, is free. This year’s celebration will include lots of activities for
families, a pie eating contest, live entertainment, several food vendors, and carnival rides.
The day will culminate with an exciting fireworks display at 10:00 pm.

Union Gap Transit will be providing free shuttle service during the 4th of July Celebration as well.

Riders can catch the regular Union Gap fixed route service at any of the stops listed in the Union Gap bus book between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM; a bus will then take riders to State Fair Park. For the return trip, a bus will leave State Fair Park every hour between 11:00AM and 12:00 AM. Riders can catch the bus at the gate where they were dropped off, and that bus will take riders to where they initially boarded.
