Firefighters Warn Of Danger Of Turkey Fryers

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and the Yakima Fire Department is warning about the danger of turkey fryers. Yakima Fire Department Capt. Thomas Schneider says if you are using a fryer this Thanksgiving just keep it outside away from anything that could catch fire. He says don't overfill the fryer with to much oil and always keep on eye on it so it doesn't tip over. He says many people have been seriously injured and property damage has been extensive in many cases in which the fryers malfunctioned or were used improperly. Schneider says keep a fire extinguisher nearby by just in case there's a problem.
