Firefighters Battle Flames in Attached Garage

Yakima Fire Department firefighters battled flames in a garage Tuesday in the 1000 block of 9th Avenue. Firefighters were called to the blaze at about 2:11 p.m. Tuesday where they found the garage engulfed in flames with live electrical wires on the ground. The roof of the garage collapsed while firefighters were battling the fire. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The damage is estimated at $50,000.
