Fire at Picatti Brothers Causes $1 Million in Damage

An investigation continues today into a fire Sunday at Picatti Brothers in the 100 block of South 3rd Avenue.  A news release from the Yakima Fire Department says fire department investigators are working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to determine if video footage is available of the alley where the fire began. Firefighters were called to the business at about 4:31 a.m. Sunday where they found the flames coming from a 3-bay shop on the alley side of the building. No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $1 million.
