Fire District 5 to Hold Open Houses

The county's largest rural fire district will hold a series of open houses at it's fire stations this summer.

Fire District 5 , Yakima County's largest rural fire district, is opening the doors of their fire stations across the Yakima Valley and inviting the public in to understand how they operate.

The next open house will be this Saturday the 9th at the White Swan Fire Station #1 from 10AM until 2PM. There will be a vehicle extrication demonstration starting at noon and the chance for children to operate a fire hose.

There will also be free food, games and prizes.
