Drive SR 24 to Moxee? Local Officials Want to Hear From You
If you drive State Route 24 to and from Moxee you know how busy the road can get in the mornings and afternoons. That congestion is a big concern for local and state governments it's the reason behind an ongoing study.
WILL WE SEE A WIDENING OF THE ROAD TO ADDRESS CONCERNS?
The city of Moxee, Yakima County, the Yakima Valley Conference of Governments and the Washington State Department of Transportation have partnered on the study to address concerns along the SR 24 corridor as growth and development is increasing congestion. A very important part of the study is input from those who drive the corridor everyday.

An in-person open house was held last month and there is still time to visit the online open house https://engage.wsdot.wa.gov/east-valley-moxee-to-yakima-corridor-study/.
WHAT KIND OF CHANGES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE
The survey and the online open house will close by end of business on Friday, March, 3.
State and federal officials say they're determined to make the road safer and more able to handle the large volume of traffic the corridor sees on a daily basis. They say they've already identified strategies and solutions to address travel delays and move people and goods though the corridor more safely and efficiently.
