Fire Destroys Fruit Bins at Roche Fruit in Yakima

Remember last year's arson fires that burned fruit bins and an area fruit warehouse? Yakima Fire Department investigators are searching for the cause of a fire that destroyed about 500 fruit bins on Friday night. The blaze was reported at about 8:30 p.m. at Roche Fruit in the 600 block of North Third Avenue.

Crews from the warehouse used forklifts to help firefighters douse the flames that took about three hours before it was fully under control. The fire remains under investigation Today.
