Final Design for Plaza Unveiled Monday

The city of Yakima unveiled the final design plans for the proposed downtown plaza at a public hearing Monday night at the Seasons Performance Hall.

The plan includes a shaded structure for some parking spaces, water features for children to play in, shaded areas as well as multi-purposed event space for concerts and farmers markets.

Overall, the design team received very positive reviews from the people in attendance.

The final design plans will now go up for a final vote in front of the Yakima City Council tonight at 6:00 p.m.
