When the Yakima City Council meets on Tuesday night council members will see a busy agenda. They'll be talking about extending approval to the city winter homeless shelter from March 15 to June 30th as the shelter needs more time to help the homeless as it prepares for a permanent shelter at the site. The council will also talk about a resolution to adopt the Yakima Bicycle Master Plan. But overshadowing those discussions will be the talk about the Yakima downtown central plaza. Council member Dulce Gutierrez wants to kill the project in light of many ongoing investments the city plans in the future. She says it's too expensive despite a majority of the funding coming from local investors. The council meets at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Yakima City Hall.
