Prayers and displays of religious belief or affiliation have caused a lot of controvery in recent years when played out on the fields of play at athletic events.

Not this time.   Here's the invite from the folks at Fields of Faith.

Students from high schools around the Yakima area will join thousands of other youth on athletic fields across the nation on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, to share their Christian faith with fellow students during the 15th annual national Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ (FCA, www.fca.org) Fields of Faith event. This event is open to the public and free of charge.

Students are encouraged to invite their classmates and teammates to meet at the Sozo Sports Complex at 6:00 pm to hear fellow students share their testimonies and challenge them to make a positive difference at their school and on their sports teams.

Food and games will be available from 6:00-6:45, with live music and student speakers starting at 6:45. FCA’s Fields of Faith is structured as a student-to-student ministry to encourage their peers to read the Bible, pray for their schools, teams, coaches, teachers, and communities.

More information about the 2018 Fields of Faith event is available at FieldsofFaith.com. To learn more about the event in Yakima, contact Barry Reifel, FCA Area Director.
