Fatal Crash in Toppenish Kills One Injures Another

Washington State Patrol troopers are investigating a fatal collision reported in Toppenish on Friday night. Troopers say 37-year-old Joel Flores of Selah was driving his Toyota Tacoma pickup south on U.S. Highway 97 when he struck two pedestrians in the crosswalk as he attempted to turn right on Fort Road. 64-year-old Delis Mark of Goldendale and 42-year-old Mathew George were taken to Yakima's Virginia Mason Memorial hospital with injuries. Mark died at the hospital. An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
