All the warnings have been issued and precautions taken in connection to a big crack on top of Rattlesnake Ridge in Union Gap that could cause a big landslide. Horace Ward the Senior Emergency Planner at the Yakima Valley office of Emergency Management who says all they can do now is keep a wary eye on the ridge and continue to urge people who live nearby to leave.
Ward says about 35 residents living at the base of the ridge have not heeded warnings to evacuate.
He says since the slide is slow moving and on a gentle slope he's hoping it will be small in nature and hopefully stabilize itself.
Officials say the hillside is moving an average of 1.4 feet per week.

Thorp Road remains closed between Birchfield and Gangl Roads because of the possibility of falling rocks.
