A broad-based coalition has kicked off a campaign to clean up graffiti in Yakima. The "Graffiti Be Gone" campaign includes a public service campaign on radio and television, at movie theaters and postcards sent home from schools. The first cleanup event is sponsored by several Kiwanis clubs and other organizations. They will be cleaning up Kiwanis, Miller and McGuinnes parks this Saturday. On April 12, a cleanup effort targeting specific parts of Yakima is planned.
Anyone wanting to help with the April 12 effort is asked to bring gloves to the Albertsons
parking lot on Lincoln by 8:30 in the morning.

Here is a list of activities as part of the "Graffiti be Gone" campaign.
