Thursday's (July 27) Downtown Summer Nights music was as hot as the weather! Spokane's legendary Too Slim and the Taildraggers, along with West Pasco's Chase Craig, added extra heat with two smokin' sets that had every foot on North Front Street tappin'!

We had a blast with the bands, and the Chinook Fest ladies were fun as heck. We tried getting people to take photos with my phone but, no one knew how to work it -- everyone who tried started accidentally taking videos. HA!

(Some of the photos worked out, though. Check the gallery above for a little of how it looked.)

The free Downtown Summer Nights concert series is presented by Stewart Subaru and Downtown Association of Yakima on North Front Street between Yakima Avenue and Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way. Chinook Fest powers the music, while Legends Casino Hotel sponsors the stage.

Virginia Mason Memorial provides a cooling station complete with a misting tent. Regional Health hosts an interactive, safe and fun kids area, and MOD Pizza -- with help from Arts on the Move -- oversees all of the weekly activities. U.S. Cellular even offers cellphone charging stations for when you've drained your battery taking photos and videos.
