Dogs Give the Gift of Love This Holiday Season

Man’s best friend is getting a lot of positive publicity lately.  Dogs have been used to lift spirits at wounded warrior rehab centers, seniors centers and dogs are even being dispatched to help calm students in Connecticut. Closer to home a wagging tail greeting you at your door can be a major mood lifter after a long day, but do you want to have the same furry benefits at work? Apparently so.  Nearly 20% of companies now have pet friendly policies that allow employees to bring animals into the office, according to a survey by the American Pet Products Association Manufacturers. Mike Bastinelli brings his golden lab to work and city manager Tony O’Rourke’s dog Murphy is now a city hall favorite.  60% will provide presents for the pooch this Christmas.   Ho Ho Here boy…..(Redbook)
