Displaced Farm Workers Get Big Bux

More than 6 hundred Latino farm workers have been awarded nearly 2 million dollars from a federal appeals court after the workers accused 2 Yakima Valley growers and a farm labor contractor of a violation of federal laws. The workers claimed they were displaced both illegally and intentionally by Valley Fruit Orchards and Green Acre Farms after the companies hired Los Angeles based Global Horizons to bring from Thailand back in 2004.
