Only minor delays are expected in the coming week on Snoqualmie Pass.

If your travel plans take you over Interstate 90 near Ellensburg you could experience one hour delays due to single lane closures.

Drivers traveling westbound on Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12 should plan for delays of up to an hour and the same goes for drivers traveling eastbound on Sunday, Oct. 13 near Ellensburg. Drivers can consider alternate routes using State Route 970 and US 97 or SR 10 to avoid delays.

The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews are repairing the bridge deck on the Dry Creek Bridge. In order to do this work, contractor crews need to restrict traffic to one lane across the bridge to remove and replace the deteriorated concrete. Although crews are working during the week and on Sunday nights, traffic cannot be diverted back onto the bridge deck until it’s finished in October.

Drivers planning a trip next week over Snoqualmie Pass will experience minor delays Monday, Oct. 14 through Friday, Oct. 18 due to single lane closures and rolling slowdowns. The pass will not close for rock blasting next week.
