Crash Between Car and Fruit Truck Leaves One Dead

A 91 year old man was killed in a crash at 64th and Ahtanum Wednesday morning. Officials said a flatbed fruit truck collided near the intersection of 64th and Ahtanum with the vehicle driven by 91 year old Gordon Haines who died at the scene.  It happened around 8:00 a.m. authorities said the car was heading westbound on Ahtanum and failed to yield to the semi-truck. The semi's driver, 53-year-old Israel Rodriguez, was taken to memorial hospital for his injuries. His condition is unknown.
