40 inmates and five employees at the Yakima County Department of Corrections have tested positive for COVI-19. Corrections Director Ed Campbell they're stepping up procedures by requiring everyone including inmates to wear masks and testing inmates for COVID-19 when the enter the facility.
The Yakima Health District is working closely with the department of corrections following all CDC and State Department of Health guidelines and protocols for contact tracing, notifications, testing, medical treatment, cleaning, disinfecting, and isolation.
