It's called a Corkage Free Zone. The program is about to get the nod from Governor Christine Gregoire. The Governor is expected to sign a bill into law by the end of the month that would allow the program to operate. It gives restaurants the right to form policies with local wineries. The restaurants could sell wine that customers could open and enjoy without paying a corkage fee. The bill is sponsored by 14th District State Representative Charles Ross of Naches.
