It's a tough fight with the Taylor Bridge fire and it's not yet under control. Firefighters were hoping that would happen today. But that target date for full containment has now been pushed back to August 29 that's next Wednesday.  Fire officials say the containment date has been delayed because firefighters are dealing with rugged terrain and gusty winds as they try and establish a containment line around the north side of the fire apparently the most challenging area to fight in this fire.

The fire east of Cle Elum is 91 percent contained.  It has burned more than 36 square miles, or 23,500 acres.  Property damage has been estimated at $8.3 million.  Authorities have confirmed 51 homes and 26 outbuildings were destroyed and at least six other homes were damaged.
