Yakima Transit riders are invited to a public hearing Wednesday to talk about the Six-Year Transit Development Plan and Annual Report. The documents are being submitted to the Washington State Department of Transportation. But the city wants to hear from transit riders first. According to a news release from the city the report includes information on the cities' state and local long and short-range priorities, capital improvements, planned operating changes and program funding sources for the next six years.

The public hearing on the report will be held next Wednesday, October 30th, at 5:30 pm at the City’s Public Works facility, 2301 Fruitvale Boulevard.
A draft document is available for public review during normal office hours at the Yakima Transit office, also located at 2301 Fruitvale Boulevard, or on-line at www.yakimatransit.org

Final approval of the report is expected to go to the Yakima City Council during its regular meeting on Tuesday, November 19.
