A Selah man rode his home-made bicycle all the way across the country. Today, James Moberly is back to work for the Washington Department of Transportation in Selah. He rode from Grays Harbor, Washington, to Virginia. Moberly, who rides his bike to work every day, was happy to accomplish a bucket-list goal.

Moberly took two months off work to complete the adventure. His wife and dog followed in a van so he wouldn't have to carry all his gear. They stopped to see sights along the way and he did take a few days off from riding his bike. Moberly logged a total of 4,049 miles and 49 days of bike riding time. He hopes one to day ride the Pacific Coast from the Canadian border to the Mexican border.
