Changes Expected Around Courthouse In Yakima

Major work is planned around the Yakima County Courthouse next year. New streetlights and sidewalks are part of the plan. An article in the Yakima Herald Republic says city and county officials have been meeting and have come to an agreement for plans to improve Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., North First and a sectin of A Street. Costs for the work will be shared between the city and county. The pricetag is expected to be about 427 thousand dollars. The project is expected to get underway sometime next year.
