Officials at Central Washington University in Ellensburg are waiting on test results of a student who may have been exposed to the coronavirus on a recent international trip. The student remains in voluntary isolation as school officials await test results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They say test results were expected Sunday or Monday but now the results won't be available until the end of the week. Health officials say testing is only a precautionary measure and Kittitas County Public Health officials say most people will not test positive for the virus.
Meanwhile the Dean of Student Success, Gregg Heiselman told Central Washington University employees and students who most likely would have been in contact with the student. School officials say they're now working with those employees and students to respond fast if they show symptoms of the illness.
