Census of Agriculture Deadline and Ag Groups Sue Over WOTUS

**The deadline to respond to the 2022 Census of Agriculture is today.

USDA's National Ag Statistics Service says farmers and ranchers must respond by the end of the day online or through the mail.

Conducted just once every five years, the ag census provides a complete account of the nation's farms and ranches and the people who operate them.

Producers can respond online at www.agcounts.usda.gov

**The American Farm Bureau Federation and other ag and business groups are suing federal agencies over the new “waters of the United States” rule.

The lawsuit argues the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers overreached in finalizing the rule in December.

Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall said, “Farmers and ranchers should not have to hire a team of lawyers and consultants to determine how we can farm our land.”
