The 2014 General Election is a week away and NewsTalk KIT will continue to bring you information and interviews on local candidates right up until November 4th. The Yakima County Auditor expects about a 62% turnout—matching the statewide expectation for the mid-term-- but Yakima’s primary election turnout at around 31% was the lowest in the state.
Ballots for the upcoming general election will be mailed to Yakima county voters this week.
More than 106,000 ballots will be sent from the Auditors office. Ballots will begin arriving on Wednesday.
