Get a Ballot? Not Everyone Gets a Ballot For The Primary Election
More than 63, 000 ballots have been sent to registered voters in Yakima County for the upcoming primary election set for August 1. But don't freak out not everyone is getting a ballot.
THERE'S A REASON WHY NOT ALL REGISTERED VOTERS GET A BALLOT
Not all registered voters in the county are getting ballots, only those in areas with contested races or other issues on the ballot. If you are a registered voter you may already have received your ballot. It's due on primary election day. Depending on where you live you'll see a variety of issues on the ballot including mayor races in Wapato and Selah and city council positions in Yakima, Sunnyside and Union Gap.

THE BALLOT ALSO INCLUDES IMPORTANT FIRE AND SCHOOL DISTRICT ISSUES
The ballot also includes a host of school district, fire protection district positions. Voters will also see Proposition 1 which would create a lower valley public hospital district.
YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO GET A BALLOT BUT HAVEN'T SEEN IT?
Ross says if you haven't yet received a ballot a believe you will be voting in the upcoming August 1 primary election contact the Yakima County Auditors Office at 509-574-1400 or check the website https://www.yakimacounty.us/170/Elections
