Authorities say a car belonging to a Spokane Valley, Washington, couple reported missing after a suspicious fire at their home has been found in nearby Benewah County, Idaho, with two bodies inside.

The identities of those found in the car Friday were not immediately made public.

The Spokesman-Review reports that Spokane Valley Fire Department Assistant Fire Marshal Bill Clifford says an explosion and fire were reported Thursday at the home of John and Sandy Tiffany.

Clifford says the department's arson dog indicated the use of accelerant in several places. He says investigators believe one or both of the Tiffanys set the fire. Clifford says investigators have surveillance footage of John Tiffany filling gas cans at a gas station several hours before the fire.

A search began after the couple's son filed a missing person's report. Clifford says Benewah County sheriff's deputies found the couple's white Kia on property they owned between the Idaho towns of Plummer and St. Maries.
