2 burglary suspects are sitting in the county jail this morning after being arrested following a high speed chase in the West Valley area on friday. Deputies with the County Sheriff's office were called to a burglary in the 39 hundred block of Wiley Road. The suspects were spotted in a vehicle leaving the area when deputies arrived. A chase started but soon ended because of safety concerns. The suspects were located after having run from the vehicle by yakima police officers who responded to the area. The two individuals booked into the County jail were males 19 and 20 years of age. Both are convicted felons with extensive criminal histories. The 20 year old driver was booked into the Yakima County jail for residential burglary, vehicular assault and eluding a police vehicle. The 19 year old passenger was booked for residential burglary. A small amount of jewelry and watches were located in the vehicle, but have not been tied to any of the burglaries.
