The Yakima County Commissioners have a plan to help solve a 9.3 million dollar budget deficit at the Department of Corrections. The County on Thursday announced that it's closing the jail near State fair park and looking for wage concessions from corrections officers. County officials say that action coupled with reserve funds and other measures will help fill the budget gap. The cuts and closures are the result of a loss of bed rental contracts from King County.
