Here comes the bride, here comes the bride—more often than not in June.  The keeper of wedding stats shows 35% of weddings happen in early summer so a June Bride may not surprise you but where they should go for the best honeymoon value just might.WalletHub today has  identified the Best Honeymoon Destinations for Your Wallet in 2014 by comparing 100 of the most popular domestic honeymoon destinations based on 13 key metrics that collectively speak to the affordability, weather conditions and romanticism of each city and town.

The average honeymoon costs upwards of $4,000. That’s a lot of money when you consider the average household has around $6,000 in the bank and owes $7,000 to their credit card company.

Waiting a little longer to tie the knot can help.  Census data shows the average age to get married is up, at 29 for men and 26.6 for women.

Still, it’s not good to launch the good ship “happy-couple” with a mountain of debt so it may come in handy to know where to do the best by your matrimonial celebratory dollar.

I can see Seattle making it into the top ten but Chicago at number one is a complete surprise and a complete shocker! Best wishes for sure!
