Ballot Counting Continues Wednesday In Yakima County

Who will be Yakima's next Yakima County Coroner? More ballot counting is set to happen in the Yakima County Auditors office on Wednesday but it's not known how many ballots are left to count. No ballot counting happened on Monday because the office was closed due to a Federal holiday. The courthouse is closed Tuesday because of a fire.
Only one race remains undecided. The race for Yakima County Coroner is hanging on the daily count of ballots. On Friday Jim Curtice was leading incumbent Jack Hawkins by more than 800 votes or 50.62 percent to 48.38.
