Arrests Made in Murder of Preston Yahne

Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies say they have arrested two people in connection with a murder.

Deputies say a 19-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, both from Grandview, were involved in the murder of 22-year-old Preston Yahne, from Prosser. Yahne's body was found in the trunk of his own car near Sunnyside last week.

Jail documents show deputies booked Laura Marie Bancroft into the Yakima County Jail on Tuesday night, and Robert McCorkindale into the Benton County Jail early Wednesday morning, both on charges of second degree murder.

Deputies say they have now uncovered more information that suggests the homicide happened in Benton County, rather than Yakima County as they originally believed.
