**2020 begins the new year with a promising outlook for California's snowpack.

Agweb.com reports, in the first statewide snow survey of the year, the amount of water contained in the snowpack was over 9 inches, or 90% of the January 2nd average.

December storms gave California a promising snowpack, despite a slow start with a dry October and early November.

The snowpack supplies about 30% of California's water when it melts.

**At the International Consumer Electronics Show, Impossible Foods served up Impossible Pork and Impossible Sausage Made from Plants, the startup's first all-new products since the blockbuster Impossible Burger debuted in 2016.

Impossible Foods calls the pork substitute a delicious, nutritious, gluten-free, plant-based ground “meat” that can be used in any recipe calling for ground pork from pigs.

Agrimarketing.com reports, Impossible Pork contains no gluten, no animal hormones and no antibiotics.

**U.S. dairy exports in November were up for the third straight month.

According to milkbusiness.com, for total milk solids, U.S. dairy exports were 15.8% of U.S. milk production in November, and through the first 11 months of 2019, were equal to 14.6% of production.

On a tonnage basis, November exports were also up 14% over last year. For milk solids, total dairy exports were up 16%.

Export values totaled $536.4 million, up 21% and the most since April 2015.
