The United States Attorney for Eastern Washington William Hyslop stood with city, county, state and federal officials Thursday at a Yakima church to talk about a summer long effort to arrest wanted violent criminals in the valley called Operation Invictus. All total authorities made 246 arrests of fugitives and violent criminals. The law enforcement Operation Invictus Civitas was started on June 3.  The action included 9 arrests for sexual offenses, 62 for assaults, 19 for robberies, 5 for homicides and 63 for narcotics violations. Officers seized 33 firearms, nearly 4.5 pounds of drugs 12 vehicles and $37,000 in cash.  Hyslop says the operation was a "major success" highlighting the joint commitment, dedication and partnerships between local state and federal agencies.
