Yakima Valley Community College (YVCC) will host a series of "Information Nights" for high school students and their parents about the Running Start program beginning Feb. 19.

The next stop of the series will be at Davis High School at 6:30 p.m. and will take place in the KIVA room. From there the program will visit Granger, East Valley and Naches among other high schools.

The sessions will be open to high school sophomores and juniors who might be interested in doing Running Start for their junior or senior years in high school.

Running Start is a program designed to get kids a head start for college by taking college classes and getting college credit. They also often offer a wider variety of classes and help with the transition to college and planning for the future.
