Young Woman Dies In Crash On Highway 97

An 18 year old woman from Wapato was killed in a crash on Highway 97 this morning. State Patrol Troopers say Hanna Cordova was driving Northbound on Lateral A when her vehicle collided with another vehicle driving Southbound on Highway 97. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. Cordova died at the scene. The other driver, 67 year old Rogelia Mendoza of Yakima was not injured. Troopers say they don't know which driver failed to stop for the red light at the intersection. The crash was reported just after 8 this morning.
