Yakima’s Latest Shooting Victim Identified

Yakima police have released the name of a man who was shot early this morning on North 1st Street.

 

Yakima Police responded to a gunshot victim at North 1st Street and East F Street at about 12:30am  this morning.   Officers found the victim still seated in his vehicle and suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm below his shoulder.  Paramedics tended to his injury and transported him to a local hospital for treatment.  His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

 

The victim told police that he was just driving around the area when he heard a gunshot and felt pain in his arm.

 

This afternoon, Yakima Police released the victim’s name as 40 year old Ramon Espinoza of Pasco.

 

Detectives  are still investigating.  Anyone with additional information regarding this incident can contact the Yakima Police Department at 575-6200.
